Nicholas Cage along with Neil LaBute have signed on to effect a remake of the 1973 British horror film The Wicker Man. LaBute is writing and directing the project and Cage will star as the lead. This adaption will be set in modern day America.

They should leave it alone. It doesn't need a remake but since when did that matter.

I agree with Theboy. The original bothered me so much, the image of him burning alive in the wicker man, that I bought the tape not too long ago. Actually I didn't even remember the name of the movie but happened upon it in a video bin, and when I saw that pic of the wicker man, childhood memories rushed back. I won't be able to resist seeing the remake of course. But I wonder if it'll still have the naked girls jumping over the fire
