Laugh all you want but next to horror I love action adventure especially mixed with "a little" humor and a hot leading man so my favorite is probably Raiders of the Lost Ark. It certainly revived this type of movie back in the early 80's. A close second would be Braveheart, full of historical action.

Raiders fucken rocked but I would have to say Terminator 1+2.Actually every Arnold movie rocks because he is the king of action.Conan the Barbarian could be classified as brutal action considering all the gore but holy shit is that movie an experience or what.

I agree totally, Arnold's Conan and Terminator/Predator movies do rock. I'm a huge scifi/fantasy/horror fan. They are great stories with great special effects and just the right amount of gore.
I can't wait for T3. Heard Arnold is getting 20 million for it. The weird thing is I'm not really into Arnold much as an actor, I just really like most of his movies.
And I do classify them as a subtype of horror (hey, it's just my opinion) (like I do the apocalyptic The Road Warrior), the only reason I didn't list that phenomenal movie as my favorite non-horror movie.

They make non-horror movies? Why?

I watched Gummo for about twenty minutes, very sickening to watch!
My faves would be a toss up between The Shawshank Redemption and/or Good Will Hunting, very hard for me to pick one over the other. I've seen both of these movies about a hundred or more times and Never get tired of them.

Shawshank Redemption was a great movie. Tim Robbins was really good in it and the story was an even better read. But I'm sorry to say I haven't seen Good Will Hunting yet although I keep hearing about it, they won a Oscar for writing it didn't they? Honestly though, I can't stand Matt Damon, but I do like Ben Affleck.
