I met him a few years ago, he looks like he's in his early sixty's he looked pretty chubby in his leather jacket and cowboy boots. Some friends and I went to a Star Trek con that he was speaking at. Up on stage he insisted on telling us about all the "crazy" fans he's run across and all the woman who still throw themselves at him.  we bought the back stage package which enables us to go behind the scenes and smooz with him, we hung around him and tried to talk but he blew us off and when he did talk to us he had the look on his face like he was going to ask one of us to go get him a Coke or something... he was a real prick, but being the hard core Trekkie that I am I'm still a fan, I got his autograph and all but I'll never forget the real him, I'll choose to remember the Kirk of old. You know what,I've never seen an episode of any of the Star Trek series but I've seen every movie,I can't figure it out either.My favourite one was the one when they came home,I think it was part 4.

Thanks CM for the descript. I guess I'm not too surprised  But hey Devil, that is so weird 'cuz the 4th movie, The Voyage Home, is THE reason I got hooked on Star Trek to begin with. It's that book that I brought to the convention to have Lenard autograph for me. Something with the comedy in that movie did it for me and I started reading all the books, buying all the movies and the entire classic series. |

I just loved the time irony stuff. It made me feel that Star Trek doesn't really take itself too seriously. It's made for entertainment, not great masterpieces.

I'd like to knock the hell out of Bob Saget. I saw him on Letterman, I think. He tried so hard to lose that Full House, niceguy image. He was trying to act so tough and bad, what a dick.

I agree with MonsterX Bob S. needs a serious beat down! I'm biased though becuase I've only seen him do that fucking idiotic Full House show and nothing else, he'd have to be pretty damn hilarious for me to shake that image of him.

Full House was the worse of those 80's comedy/family shows imo and I watched a lot of them at the time. The acting was awful and the storylines unbelievable. I still can't stand those Olsen twins. But it wasn't just that show that made Saget the butt of so many jokes, I think he really put the final nail in his coffin by hosting America's Funniest Home Videos. And I did like the videos, but I could have done without his stupid commentary and wooden wit.
