When I was a kid, horror movies used to actually scare me. At first I thought it was because horror movies now-a-days suck. The storylines are horrible, unbelievable and they just don't use really good scare tactics...
So, I watched some of the movies that scared me when I was little and I guess it's just harder to scare someone as they get older.
So, I'm now on a quest for the perfect horror movie for me.
I like horror films either based on a true story with that documentary feel or that at least seem that way. It has to seem real. Scary settings also tend to scare me (especially old houses, forests, cemeteries, etc.). Things that scare me the most in movies are haunted places, ghosts, the devil, and religious imagery.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah, avoid Kane Hodder's Darkwolf like a bad case of the clap.

Ok, so it's not horror, but one film that scared me since I was an adult was "The Pledge". It's not scary like horror, but it made me feel sick and made me angry like I was in a rage and at the end of it I felt really FUBAR - It took me about two hours after I came out of the cinema to stop shaking. Brilliant. [glow=red,2,300]TheFG[/glow]
