Not sure if it's true or not I heard that "Ghosts of Mars" might of have been John Carpenters last film in th directors chair. I really hope he's not done, but i heard he is really considering calling it quites. i don't know if anyone elses has heard this rumor. I know HORSE is a big fan maybe he can shed some light on this subject.

At a screening of Halloween sometime last fall (or perhaps it was during the winter) JC mentioned that he was working on another project, but he winked and said something about it being a secret. I've heard rumors, but I'm working on some solid confirmation. I'll let you know when I hear something.
It may take a few days, but I'll get back to you.

I read an interview with him yesterday, he's looking for a good script to produce and maybe direct. So I guess he's not retiring...

Vampires was fucking awful. You can always tell a bad film whe it has the directors name in the title ie "John Carpenter's Vampires" I knew it would suck ringpiece before I saw it.

Ummm...all of Carpenter's films have his name above the title. "John Carpenter's Halloween", "John Carpenter's The Fog", "John Carpenter's In The Mouth of Madness", "John Carpenter's The Thing".
I'll stop there.
Oh yeah - In The Mouth of Madness in my opinion is the best Lovecraft based film. Also, one of the most underrated flicks of the 90's.
