The last news I heard was in the middle of March. House of 1000 Corpses was given an R rating by the MPAA. This will make it much easier for him to find a distributor who could get a nationwide theatrical release. Other than that, I don't have any good news for ya, HorrorBob.

Thanks Horse, Ive been waiting for some kind of news. I hope they didn't cut it up that much to get the R rating.

When I read the report initially, there was no mention of editing, so I'm hoping that it's intact. If all else fails, I'm sure there will be a kick-ass DVD release with all the cut footage thrown back in.

It seems that lots of people are putting a lot of faith in this film to give horror a kick up the arse, but has anyone considered that it might not be any good?

You know what good point, My adgent that gets me alot of work, knoes Rob Zombie and members of his band. Although he did not see the film, some people that he knows did see it test screenings of it. Now this is going back almost over a year and a few months ago. But he said that a lot of them thought it was to out of control and hard to understand. But I'm sure a lot has changed since then.

Rob Zombie started out as a film student, before the whole white zombie thing. he did a short film, i forget what it was called, but it was pretty awesome, so i sure hope House of1000 is the same way.

There are 3 things to a horror movie and i don think there will be any of these 1) The body count 2) Wimon Nudity 3) 3) The Horror factor ( how scarry was it) The movie seems like another Night of the living dead and any way isent he a rock singer or somin he should dtick to that instead of horror movies thats John Carpenters job.......

i dont think this film will change the current state of horror, because it will be chided by most for not having the crappy teen slasher formula--which is trully a shame I posted this more than a year ago
