I know there's a couple of fellow fans on this board. I was hooked while watching The Voyage Home movie as a teen. Horror and Sci Fi go hand and hand with me lol.

you know max that i'm a star trek fan too! i loved the original series and tng. voyage home was a good movie, so was first contact. i especially liked the wrath khan. the first star tek movie lacked something, but the wrath of khan made up for it big time! great movie!

My favorite series is Next Generation and my fave Star Trek film is First Contact, there's just something about the Borg! I loved all the films though except the first one, like you said it lacked something, it was just to sterile and odd. ~~Will~~

you guys are right, the 1st one was the worse. they tried too hard with the special effects and it took away from the movie. I did see #2 & #3 before I was hooked and enjoyed them both, especially Khan with Montaban in it. Remember his right hand man in that? the blonde from the old tv series The Phoenix? although I am loyal to classic I have to admit that tng was the better series all around. have read many of the books too. going to buy them all on tape some day like I have the classic ones.

Star Trek's great. Next Generation is the best series. I loved all the weird storylines (like Picard living an entire lifetime during 2 minutes of unconsciousness or the time paradoxes). The episodes involving the goings on on the ship were shit though. The NG films are OK but I think characters like Troi spoil them.
Also Brent Spiner (Data) and John De Lancie (Q) are great actors.
Anyone seen the Enterprise series yet? It's just started showing over here but it's impossible to get control of the satellite TV on this house on a Sunday night.

Hey boy! the times ones were always my fave. (probably why the 4th movie hooked me). Loved that ep where he lived the life in 2 minutes and came out of it playing that alien instrument. I don't really like Data or the actor much but I made sure to always see the ones with Q in them.
I'm watching Enterprise every week. They keep getting better and better. I wasn't sure at first and almost stopped, but I'm really glad I didn't. It's interesting how they react to things because it's all new to them. And no following that fucking prime directive!! that's why Kirk was THE MAN, he knew how to bend the rules 8). If Picard bends he might break lol.
