This is my favorite film from Peter Jackson. I bought it on DVD for $20 on Bestbuy.com, not really knowing what to expect. But I had seen the unrated Dead Alive on DVD, so I knew I was going to see something outrageous and silly. So, I expected I might feel two ways about the final product.
I enjoyed every minute of Bad Taste. It has not one boring moment, a sign of at least a highly re-watchable film. It's a blast! My favorite thing about the movie is the dizzying camerawork. The gore effects are terrific as well; my favorite effect is when the squad rips the head/spinal cord out of the alien they kill in the alien-kitchen. And, was it me, or did Frank actually enjoy his helping of alien-vomit?
I give this 4 stars out of 5. And recommend it highly.
