An unscrupulous locator of rare books Dean Corso (Depp) is plunged into a world of disturbing encounters and mysterious deaths when he is hired by a scholer of demonology (Langella) to travel around Europe and locate a couple of books that are rumoured to have been written by old scratch himself. Based on the best-selling novel The Club Dumas, a devilish film from the director of the legendary Chinatown and Rosemary's Baby is a colorful, globe trotting concoction that only offers occasional glimmers of Polanski's trademark style. A bizarre collection of supporting characters and the deep throated and goateed Depp's voyeuristic approach to his vocation are pure Polanski and very entertaining. It's very unfortunate that the story stops and starts and climaxes way too many times during the films second half. However, the thrills and intrigue are properly alluring at the outset. Recommended to Depp fans (Of which I very much am). Polanski cineastes and those with love of dark and sinister tales. So what did everyone else think of this film? ~~Will~~

Thanks, Depp is definetly my favorite actor, I've never seen any movie of his I didn't like. I'll add more reviews but I'll wait and see if you're adding a review section first.
