Starting right where the original left off with Michael Myers disapearing of the lawn, a hysterical Dr.Loomis screeching "I shot him SIX times!!", Lorrie Strode being carried off to the hospital on a stretcher and the inept Haddonfield police frantically searching for the missing Michael Myers. The hunt begins when Myers rekindles his search for Lorrie, killing anyone who is unlucky enough to get in his way and we discover the chilling truth between ole' Mikee's relationship with Lorrie Strode and the motivation behind his hatred for her.
Bloodier and more graphic than the original but no less scary or atmospheric. Unfortunately this is the film that should have put a stopper in the series.... but didn't.
Cast: Jamie Lee Curtis, Donald Pleasence, Charles Cyphers, Jeffrey Kramer & Lance Guest. Director: Rick Rosenthal Rated: R Running Time: 92 Color / 1981

I don't really agree. It was better than 6, 5, & 4... but that's it. I mean- this Michael isn't the worst, but the acting otherwise is strained and stiff, and the effects are sloppy and goopy without any effect.
I give it 2 stars out of 5.
