Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
A Big budget adaption of the Mary Shelley literary classic with Kenneth Branagh both helming the directors chair and starring as Dr. Victor Frankenstein as well as a terrific performance from Robert Di Niro as the monster. Low on scares or charactor development and relies to strongly on fantastical sets and imagery but still remains faithful to the original tale however the film is often awkward and lumbering much like the monster itself.
Cast: Kenneth Branagh, Robert Di Niro, Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Hulce, John Cleese, Ian Holm, Celia Imrie, Aidan Quinn.
Directed: Kenneth Branagh Running Time: 123 Rated: R Written: Frank Darabont, Steph Lady Color / 1994

2/5
I remember being disapointed by it. I've never read the book but maybe it's the story that is poor if the film is true to it. It just seemed silly.
