The story: Two long years have passed since Richard Palmer lost his wife and his best friend in murderous circumstances. Time enough for Palmer to come to terms with his grief and begin building a new life for himself. He is delighted therefore when Emma, the daughter of his murdered friend, returns home in search of work.
Upon visiting the murder scene, Emma discovers an ancient casket hidden beneath the floorboards. Hieroglyphics on the casket describe a mysterious pendant that is capable of extending mystical powers to its owner. But there's a catch - the pendant is missing.
Meanwhile, the man responsible for the two murders, Dave Fletcher, has discovered for himself the truly amazing powers of the pendant. But is it really a gift worth dying for? As his vendetta against Palmer unfolds, he triggers a chain of events which threaten to consume anyone associated with the pendent with a fate more terrible than death itself.
